GLOVERSVILLE - City police said a man was arrested Friday after punching a woman in the face.
John?L. Eschler III, 22, of 171 Spring?St., was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, criminal obstruction of breathing and third-degree attempted assault.
Police said Eschler violated an order of protection issued by City?Court. He reportedly held his girlfriend on the ground by her throat, police said.
Eschler also punched a woman in the face after a verbal altercation earlier in the evening, police said.
Eschler was held for arraignment.
