Boys Soccer Roundup: Cougars defeat Spartans, 3-0

CANAJOHARIE - The Canajoharie boys soccer team wrapped up the regular season with a 3-0 win over Sharon Springs in Western Athletic Conference Central Division contest Friday.

The Cougars improved to 6-10 overall and 5-9 in WAC play with the victory.

Sharon Springs slipped to 0-14 in WAC play.

Foothills Council

Scotia-Glenville 3, Glens Falls 2

GLENS FALLS - Dennis Turner, Eric Denny and Ryan Carroll scored as Scotia-Glenville clinched a share of the Foothills Council title.

Denny and Connor Flaherty each had an assist for the Tartans.

Nate Didio and Heath Armstrong scored for Glens Falls, while Jack Girard had an assist.

Adam Ashcroft made one save for Scotia-Glenville (10-1-1 Foothills)

Gabe Alagna made 11 saves for Glens Falls (3-12 overall, 2-10 Foothills).

Several games postponed

The Mayfield boys soccer team had its Western Athletic Conference North Division contest with Mekeel Christian Academy postponed by wet weather Friday.

The game was rescheduled for today at 7 p.m.

The Northville boys soccer team had its WAC North Division game at Galway postponed by wet weather Friday.

The game was rescheduled for today at 5:30 p.m.

The Amsterdam boys will host Albany today at 5:30 p.m. at Lynch Literacy Academy.

The St. Johnsville at Fort Plain game was moved to Monday at 4:30 p.m.

Also postponed with no-make up date announced was Albany Academy at Fonda-Fultonville.
