JOHNSTOWN - The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1185 will celebrate its 100th anniversary Sunday with an open house at the lodge.
The public is invited to the event, which will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets will cost $10 each.
The event will include food, wine, beer, music and raffles.
The Johnstown lodge was instituted on Dec. 22, 1912, with 120 members, a news release said. Today, the lodge has more than 1,000 members, and the local Women of the Moose chapter has more than 800 members.
The lodge opens its doors for many community functions It is lodge is open daily to members only, serving lunches and dinners on Wednesday and Friday nights. The lodge also offers members sports functions, including golf, pool, pitch and shuffleboard.
The Loyal Order of Moose is a fraternal organization founded in 1888. Today, the organization has roughly 1 million members in all 50 states and Canada, Great Britain and Bermuda, the release said.
