The Prospect Hill Cemetery is a very large area nearly in the middle of Gloversville. For many years, it was a great place for people and dogs to walk and take solace from the noise and concrete of the city.
A year or two ago, someone from Prospect Hill Cemetery decided to put up signs saying dogs were not welcome and that violators would be "prosecuted" for walking their dogs in the cemetery. If the reason for these signs being put up was because some people were not picking up after their dogs, I don't see that as a valid reason to attempt to bar everyone from walking their dog in the cemetery. People who do not act correctly should suffer negative consequences, not the public at large (which is collective punishment).
I am asking whoever decided to put up those signs to reconsider and take them down. I would ask others who agree with me on the issue to respectfully voice their discontent to Prospect Hill Cemetery.
