Emma J. Hamm, 64, of Gloversville, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at home with her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Paul Hill, holding her hand as they have done lovingly the last two years during her illness.
Emma was born on September 11, 1948, to the late Frederick and Martha Shepard Fuller of Little Falls, N.Y. Emma will be remembered for her love of family and friends, and was the happiest when they were together sharing laughter, love and memories.
Emma is survived by her children, Shelly (Brian) Houserman of Kentucky and Jack Hamm Jr. of Gloversville; her five grandchildren; her stepchildren, Jeannie (Mike) Burton of Gloversville, Dorothy Hamm of New Mexico and Michael Hamm of Mayfield; her siblings, Helen (Paul) Hill of Gloversville, Frannie Mosher (Allen) of Ephratah, David (Shelley) Fuller of Ephratah, Loretta Jones of Dolgeville and Billy (Pat) Wickersir of Saranac Lake, N.Y.; also her husband, Jack Hamm Sr. of Gloversville. She was predeceased by her daughter, Martha Hamm; and her longtime companion, Joseph LaFountain.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Amico Funeral Home, 150 South Main Street, Gloversville, N.Y., followed by a 2 p.m. funeral service, with the Rev. William Sharp. Cremation will take place at Leatherstocking Crematory, Cherry Valley, N.Y.
