MAYFIELD - Tom McClellan won the 3-mile boys race in a time of 17:24 to lead Mayfield, but Duanesburg took four of the top five spots to post a 21-35 win in a Western Athletic Conference cross-country meet on Tuesday.
Galway also competed in the meet and its girls' team swept incomplete squads from Mayfield and Duanesburg.
In the boys' race, Duanesburg's Xavier McKinley (18:37), Pat Murphy (18:38), Steve Gregory (18:52) and Devin VanVleck (18:58) finished second through fifth, respectively, behind McClellan.

Also posting top-10 finishes for Mayfield were Mitch Akowicz (sixth, 19:03), Ryan Bumpus (ninth, 19:42) and Jake Smith (10th, 19:50).
Other Mayfield finishers included Josh Murphy (12th, 20:35), Brent Gray (15th, 21:56), Luke Cole (16th, 22:00), Cody Horowitz (18th, 25:36) and Tom Steele (19th, 28:25).
Nick Valente was Galway's top finisher, placing eighth with a time of 19:32.
In the 3-mile girls' race, Galway's Lindsey Carlsen won with a time of 20:57. Mayfield's Lidija Nikollaj (22:00) was second, Galway's Christine Staufenberg (22:45) was third, Duanesburg's Maddy Kenyon (23:02) was fourth and Duanesburg's Katie Gregory (23:15) was fifth.
Also posting top-10 finishes for Mayfield were Allie Miller (sixth, 23:37) and Kelsey Wasson (seventh, 23:38).
C-FP boys top BKW, Schoharie
SCHOHARIE - In a Western Athletic Conference meet at Schoharie, the Canajoharie-Fort Plain boys team posted wins over Berne-Knox-Westerlo and Schoharie.
Canajoharie-Fort Plain defeated BKW 19-39 and posted a win over an incomplete Schoharie squad.
Canajoharie-Fort Plain's Jordan Ahrens won the 3-mile boys' race with a time of 17:31. Schoharie's Noah Falvo (18:13) was second, Schoharie's Willie Griffin (18:20) was third, Canajoharie-Fort Plain's Austin VanAvery (18:59) was fourth and Berne-Knox-Westerlo's Kyle Anderson (19:23) was fifth.
Also posting top-10 finishes for C-FP were John Magyar (sixth, 19:23 and Andrew Hanifin (seventh, 19:24).
In the girls' race, Berne-Knox-Westerlo swept incomplete squads from Canajoharie-Fort Plain, Schoharie and Cherry Valley Springfield.
Berne-Knox-Westerlo's Courtney Tedeschi won the 3-mile girls' race with a time of 19:33.
BKW also claimed the next four spots as Allie Tedeschi (20:39), Amielarra Shafer (21:53), Shannon Quay (22:20) and Anita Rice (23:29) were second through fifth, respectively.
Alexis Kane led Canajoharie-Fort Plain, placing sixth with a time of 23:33.
B-P boys, girls defeat Hudson Falls
DAY - The Broadalbin-Perth boys and girls cross-country team posted wins over Hudson Falls in a meet held at the Saratoga Biathlon Club.
The B-P boys won 18-43, while the girls topped an incomplete Hudson Falls squad.
In the boys' race, the Patriots swept the top three spots with Greg Bogdan winning with a time of 16:23.90 on the 4.6-kilometer course.
Patrick Brown (16:43.10) was second for B-P, while Matt Dyer (16:45.50) was third. Hudson Falls' David Fish (16:58.40) was fourth and Broadalbin-Perth's Alex Hitrick (17:08.40) was fifth.
Also posting top-10 finishes for B-P were Hunter Martin (seventh, 18:12.50), Henry Caughey (eighth, 18:40.30) and Nicolai Murphy (ninth, 18:42.20).
Hudson Falls' Haley Mooney won the 4.6-kilometer girls' race with a time of 19:15.80.
Broadalbin-Perth swept the next four spots with Montana Smith (20:15.60), Coreena Monroe (20:15.60), Sarah Naple (20:32.70) and Mackenzie Ottati (20:42.50) placing second through fifth, respectively.
Also posting top-10 finishes for the Lady Patriots were Alex Opalka (seventh, 21:29.20), Christa Decker (eighth, 22:38.70) and Renee Bellinger (ninth, 23:13.50).
Johnstown boys, girls lose to Scotia-Glenville, Glens Falls
SCOTIA - The Johnstown boys and girls cross-country teams both lost to Scotia-Glenville and Glens Falls in a Foothills Council meet at Indian Meadows.
In the girls' meet, Scotia-Glenville posted wins over Glens Falls (25-30) and Johnstown (19-40), while Glens Falls posted a 21-34 win over Johnstown.
Scotia-Glenville swept the top three spots in the 3.1-mile girls race with Julia Lindsay (19:21), Becca Kraines (20:29) and Cara Zanta (20:36) placing first, second and third, respectively, for the Lady Tartans.
Glens Falls' Bridget Reese (20:49) was fourth and Glens Falls' Carina Singletary (20:53) was fifth.
Skylar Swatt led Johnstown, placing sixth with a time of 21:06. Emily Fettinger (21:28) placed seventh for the Lady Bills.
In the boys' meet, Glens Falls posted wins over Johnstown (17-46) and Scotia-Glenville (24-31), while the host Tartans posted a 17-46 win over Johnstown.
Glens Falls' Josh Lee won the 3.1-mile boys' race with a time of 16:43. Glens Falls' Ben Collins (16:57) was second, Scotia-Glenville's Chris LaCoss (17:08) was third, Glens Falls' Joe Nichols (17:17) was fourth and Scotia-Glenville's Daken Broadhead (17:19) was fifth.
Daeshan Buseck led Johnstown, placing seventh with a time of 17:31.
FFCS boys, girls top Albany Academy
ALBANY - The Fonda-Fultonville boys and girls teams posted wins over Albany Academy in a meet at Holy Names.
In the boys' race, the Braves posted a 15-50 win over the Cadets.
Fonda-Fultonville swept the top eight spots in the boys' race to earn the win.
Matt Hoffman won for the Braves with a time of 14:18. Tyler Angioli (14:31) was second for FFCS, while Jim Westman (third, 14:35), Cameron Gilligan (fourth, 14:39) and Dylan DeSorbo (fifth, 14:56) also posted top-five finishes.
Also finished in the top 10 for FFCS were Dalton Dunter (sixth, 15:54) and Omijah Piening (seventh, 16:08).
In the girls' race, Jamie Kasza led the Lady Braves to a 23-32 win over Albany Academy. Kasza won the girls race with a time of 18:56.
Kim Geniti (19:42) was second for the Lady Braves. Albany Academy's Morgan Wojtusik (20:38) was third, Albany Academy's Kaitlyn McGarvey (20:43) was fourth and Fonda-Fultonville's Kacie Hunter (20:47) was fifth.
Samantha Phelps (20:49) was sixth for the Lady Braves, while Carly Littlejohn (21:26) was ninth.
Amsterdam girls win, boys split
TROY - The Amsterdam girls posted a 20-42 win over Troy in a Big 10 meet, while the boys topped Troy (15-50) and lost to LaSalle (24-33).
In the girls' race, Troy's D'asia Randall won with a time of 17:28 on the 2.5-mile course.
Amsterdam swept the next six spots with Illenis Quinones (17:51), Chantel Dopp (17:54), Deb Johnson (18:05), Brenda Santana (18:56), Caitlyn Adamchick (19:03) and Braelin Aldi (19:55) placing second through seventh, respectively.
Danielle Fazio (ninth, 21:00) and Sarah Thane (10th, 21:13) also posted top-10 finishes for the Lady Rams.
In the boys' race, LaSalle's Alex Isabelle won with a time of 13:47 on the 2.5-mile course.
LaSalle's Niall Coughlin (14:24) was second and Sean Fitzgerald (14:32) was third. Amsterdam's Nick Raponi (14:39) was fourth and Matt Raponi (14:56) was fifth for the Rams.
Also posting top-10 finishes for Amsterdam were Brett Flint (seventh, 15:24), Josh Turo (eighth, 15:38), Teddy Picciocca (ninth, 15:45) and Jonathan Knack (10th, 15:50).
