Herkimer goes 4-0 in pod play at Delhi

DELHI - The Herkimer County Community College women's volleyball team went 4-0 in pod play Saturday at SUNY Delhi.

The Lady Generals defeated Hudson Valley Community College, 3-0, winning by scores of 25-13, 25-12 and 25-16.

Herkimer also posted a 3-0 win over Columbia-Greene Community College, winning by scores of 25-14, 25-10 and 25-11.

The Lady Generals also swept SUNY Adirondack and Fulton-Montgomery Community College, 3-0.

Herkimer defeated Adirondack by scores of 25-23, 25-17 and 26-24, and FMCC by scores of 25-29, 25-19 and 25-12.

Johnstown graduate Brynn Hlozansky finished with 43 digs, 20 kills, 17 blocks and five aces for the Lady Generals, while Galway graduate Emily Martin posted 41 digs and five aces.

Oppenheim-Ephratah graduate Ashleigh Copeland had 14 kills and four digs for Herkimer (22-9 overall), which will host FMCC on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
