Area golfers compete for Sage College

GUILDERLAND - The Sage College's men's golf team competed on Saturday at the College of Saint Rose Fall Shoot Out held at Pinehaven Country Club.

The Gators finished in 10th place with a 679, while Division II Concordia College won with a team total of 617 on the par-71, 6,574-yard course.

Finishing as the medalist was Concordia's Sam Deitte, who finished with a 144 (70-74).

Sage's leading player was junior Richie Christman, a Johnstown graduate, who finished in a tie for 19th place with a 162 (80-82). Senior Shane Kiselis, an Amsterdam graduate, carded a 170 and tied for 39th after an 87-83 for Sage.

Freshman D.J. Ioele, a Johnstown graduate, posted a two-day total of 182 (88-94) to finish in 49th for the Gators.
