Girls Soccer Roundup: South Glens Falls tops Broadalbin-Perth

SOUTH GLENS FALLS - Sam Blizzard scored four goals to lead South Glens Falls to a win over Broadalbin-Perth in a Foothills Council girls soccer game Monday.

Lexi Potter finished with a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs, while Taylor Pechtel registered three assists.

Kayla Lingel also had an assist for South Glens Falls (12-2 overall, 10-2 Foothills).

Katie Herba scored both goals for Broadalbin-Perth (11-3 overall, 9-3 Foothills).

Amy Jagareski made eight saves for the Bulldogs, while Rachel Orapello made nine stops for the Lady Patriots.

Scotia-Glenville 6, Gloversville 0

SCOTIA - Max Culhane scored twice to lead Scotia-Glenville to a Foothills Council win over Gloversville.

Sophie Constantino finished with a goal and two assists for the Lady Tartans (10-2-1 overall, 9-2 Foothills), while Renee Casey and Grace Marola each registered a goal and an assist.

Morgan Bailey also scored for Scotia-Glenville.

Carina Moran made just one save to post the shutout win in goal for the Lady Tartans.

Alexis Capasso made 23 saves for Gloversville (1-12-1 overall, 1-10-1 Foothills)

Queensbury 3, Johnstown 0

QUEENSBURY - Brittany LaPlant scored twice to lead Queensbury to a shutout win over Johnstown in a Foothills Council contest.

Catherine Hand also scored for the Spartans, while Tess Fagle, Colleen Rich and Danielle Taormino each had an assist.

Sarah O'Brien made nine saves to post the shutout win in goal for Queensbury (11-2 overall, 9-2 Foothills).

Ellen Praught made seven saves for Johnstown (5-9 overall, 4-8 Foothills).

Glens Falls 10, Hudson Falls 2

QUEENSBURY - Miranda Haraughty scored six goals to lead Glens Falls to a Foothills Council win over Hudson Falls.

Megan Kanofsky finished with two goals for the Indians, while Lucy Tougas and Skylar Girard each scored once. Tougas also added three assists for Glens Falls (5-8-1 overall, 4-7-1 Foothills).

Zoe Muller and Kylie Goodbred each scored once for Hudson Falls (0-13 overall, 0-12 Foothills).

WAC

Mekeel Christian 3, Northville 2 (OT)

SCOTIA - Katie Pigliavento and Abby Knox scored in the second overtime to lead Mekeel Christian Academy to a win over Northville.

Three of the game's five goals were scored in the second overtime session.

Elaina Taplin scored in regulation for Mekeel Christian (5-4-2 WAC).

Mary Ryan scored both goals for Northville (6-6-2 overall, 5-5-2 WAC). Her first goal came in the second half on an assist from Lyndsey Wadsworth, while the second came in the second overtime to give the Lady Falcons a 2-1 lead.

Emily Taplin made 10 saves for Mekeel Christian, while Joanna Schulte made seven stops for Northville.

Galway 4, Mayfield 0

MAYFIELD - Kelly Phillips scored twice to lead Galway to a shutout win over Mayfield.

Abby Spagnola and Erica Chase also scored for the Golden Eagles, who led 1-0 at the half.

Felicia Snyder and Topanga Haight each had an assist for Galway (9-3 WAC).

Rebekah Reichard made two saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Golden Eagles.

Jennifer Little made 16 saves for Mayfield (3-10-1 overall, 2-9-1 WAC).

St. Johnsville 1, Sharon Springs 0

SHARON SPRINGS - Skyler Viveros scored the game's only goal to lead St. Johnsville to a shutout win over Sharon Springs.

Kelsey Lovett assisted on the goal for the Lady Saints.

Leann Knapp made 10 saves to post the shutout win in goal for St. Johnsville (5-9 overall, 5-7 WAC).

Rory Byrnes made eight saves for Sharon Springs (1-13 overall, 0-12 WAC).

Middleburgh 5, Schoharie 1

SCHOHARIE - Taylor Cater and Amanda Roney each had two goals and an assist to lead Middleburgh to a win over Schoharie.

Molly Francis also scored for Middleburgh (11-3 overall, 10-2 WAC).

McKenzie Phelan scored the lone goal for Schoharie (6-6 WAC).

Kiera Morgan made four saves for Middleburgh, while Kassidee VanGasdeck and Lindsey Vanier combined to make nine saves for Schoharie.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo 4, Duanesburg 1

DUANESBURG - Makayla McCormick scored twice for Berne-Knox-Westerlo in a win over Duanesburg.

Alexandria Luciano added a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs (8-2-2 WAC), while Cheyenne Keppler also scored.

Stephanie Rice scored the lone goal for Duanesburg (3-9 WAC).

Colonial Council

Cobleskill-Richmondville 11, Fonda-Fultonville 2

COBLESKILL - Morgan Loder scored four goals and had two assists to lead Cobleskill-Richmondville to a win over Fonda-Fultonville.

Maggie Tryon finished with three goals and two assists for the Bulldogs (8-5 overall, 8-5 Colonial), while Katie Billington had a goal and two assists. Hannah Almy added a goal and an assist for Cobleskill-Richmondville, while Ellie Hanna and Maya Nicholas also scored.

Cassandra Egelston scored both goals for Fonda-Fultonville (1-12 overall, 1-12 Colonial)

Erica Tracy and Kristen Kruglak combined to make four saves for Cobleskill-Richmondville.

Guilyan O'Kosky made 15 saves for the Lady Braves.

Center State Conference

West Canada Valley 4, Dolgeville 3

DOLGEVILLE - Kalli Warmingham scored twice to lead West Canada Valley to a win over Dolgeville,

Hannah Bostwick and Alexis Fauvelle also scored for the Indians (11-2 overall, 10-0 CSC).

Emily Young scored all three goals for Dolgeville (3-9-2 overall, 1-6-2 CSC), while Sarah George had an assist.

Courtney Phillips made six saves for West Canada Valley, while Abigail Mosenthin made eight stops for the Blue Devils.

Non-league

Northville 2, Bolton 0

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Lyndsey Wadsworth and Katie Dickey scored to lead Northville to a non-league win over Bolton on Sunday at Skidmore College.

Kelly VanNostrand and Veronica Arceri each had an assist for the Lady Falcons.
