JOHNSTOWN - A Caroga Lake man pleaded guilty Friday in Fulton County Court to having sexual relations with an underage child and is due to be sentenced to state prison.
Luis J. Romano Jr., 47, of Second Avenue, pleaded guilty Friday to one count of third-degree criminal sexual act. Sentencing was adjourned until Nov. 28, but he is expected to receive 2 1/2 years in state prison as part of a plea agreement. He also is slated to receive 10 years of post-release supervision, and his victim was granted a stay-away order of protection.
Police said Romano had sexual contact with an underage boy in December 2008.
