Gloversville buys Neighborhood Watch group signs

October 14, 2012
The Leader Herald

GLOVERSVILLE?- City officials have agreed to pay for new signs for the local Neighborhood Watch group.

First Ward Councilwoman Robin Wentworth recently suggested the city consider covering the expenses for four new signs for the group. Wentworth said the most expensive type of sign would cost about $24.

Councilman-at-Large James Robinson suggested paying for six signs so the city could have one in each ward.

Public Works Director Kevin Jones later said he could use money out of his department's budget to purchase the signs. He said six have been ordered and are customized for the Gloversville Police Department.

Wentworth thanked the DPW and Jones for making the purchase for the Neighborhood Watch during this week's council meeting.
