Boys Soccer Roundup: Braves, Blackbirds battle to 0-0 draw

VORHEESVILLE - After 100 minutes of boys soccer, the Fonda-Fultonville Braves and the Voorheesville Blackbirds battled to a 0-0 tie in Colonial Council action Thursday.

Tyler Folmsbee made 26 saves for the Braves (2-10-1 overall, 2-8-1 Colonial Council) and Scott Warren made 16 saves for Voorheesville (7-3-2 overall, 5-3-2 Colonial Council).

Big 10

Troy 4, Amsterdam 0

TROY - Mitsu Htut scored two goals, leading Troy to a win over Amsterdam.

Rafik Mekaldi and Akrum Mezza each had a goal and an assist for the Flying Horses (10-2-1 overall, 8-1-1 Big 10). Josh Rasmusen only needed to make one save.

Jared Weismann made seven saves for Amsterdam (5-6-1 overall, 3-5-1 Big 10).

Northern Soccer League

Wells 3, Crown Point 1

CROWN POINT - David Foster had a goal and an assist, leading Wells to a win over Crown Point.

Jake Early had a goal, assisted by Caleb Hayes for the Indians (5-5 overall), who also were the beneficiaries of an own goal by the Crown Point defense.

Ben Brennan made 13 saves and Brendan Crowningshield made seven for Crown Point.
