Girls Soccer Roundup: Duanesburg edges Mayfield, 2-1

MAYFIELD - Kayla Smalls scored the only goal of the second half to lift Duanesburg to a 2-1 win over Mayfield in a Western Athletic Conference girls soccer game Wednesday.

Andrea Barton added a goal and an assist for the Eagles (3-8 WAC).

Emily Cromie scored the lone goal for Mayfield on an assist from Mariah Monroe.

Amanda Goodwin and Nicole Cassale combined to make 11 saves, sharing the win in goal for Duanesburg.

Jennifer Little made 17 saves for Mayfield (3-9 overall, 2-8 WAC)

Middleburgh 2, Northville 0

MIDDLEBURGH - Keira Morgan and Kendra Wood each scored first-half goals to lead Middleburgh past Northville.

Megan Hagadorn made eight saves to record the shutout win in goal for Middleburgh (8-2 WAC).

Joanna Schulte made 17 stops for Northville (4-5-2 overall, 4-4-2 WAC).

Berne-Knox-Westerlo 5, Galway 3

BERNE - Delaney Martin scored four goals to lead Berne-Knox-Westerlo to a win over Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Sarah Abbott also scored for the Lady Bulldogs, while Audrey Goodemote added an assist.

Erica Chase had a goal and an assist for Galway, while Felicia Snyder and Maddy Moore each scored a goal. Abby Spagnola and Lexy Hennessy each had an assist for the Golden Eagles.

Liz Harvey made 15 saves to earn the win in goal for Berne-Knox-Westerlo (7-2-2 WAC).

Rebekah Reichard made 10 saves for Galway (9-3 overall, 8-2 WAC).

Foothills Council

Scotia-Glenville 8, Glens Falls 1

SCOTIA - Sophie Constantino and Abby O'Connor each scored twice to lead Scotia-Glenville past Glens Falls.

Gracie Mailey, Grace Marola, Max Culhane and Megan McGillycuddy also scored for the Lady Tartans.

Rachael Cox and Morgan Bailey each had two assists for Scotia-Glenville (9-2 overall, 8-2 Foothills), while Renee Casey, Marola and O'Connor each had one assist.

Miranda Haraughty scored the lone goal for Glens Falls (3-7 Foothills).

Carina Moran made seven saves to earn the win in goal for the Lady Tartans.

Queensbury 2, South Glens Falls 1

QUEENSBURY - Claire Hubbs and Brittany LaPlant scored to lead Queensbury to a Foothills Council win over South Glens Falls.

Catherine Hand and Danielle Taormino each had an assist for the Spartans.

Sam Blizzard scored the lone goal for South Glens Falls on an assist from Sam Hubinsky.

Sarah O'Brien made six saves for Queensbury (10-2 overall, 8-2 Foothills).

Amy Jagareski made two saves for South Glens Falls (10-2 overall, 8-2 Foothills).
