Field Hockey Roundup: Gloversville edges Hudson Falls

HUDSON FALLS - Sarah Lebel, Alysha Chamberlain and Jade Persch scored to lead Gloversville to a 3-2 win over Hudson Falls in a Foothills Council field hockey game on Thursday.

Ellie Gonyeau scored both goals for Hudson Falls.

Bailey Pieniazek made five saves for Gloversville, while Nicole Wojtowecz made three saves for Hudson Falls.

Glens Falls 2, South Glens Falls 0

SOUTH GLENS FALLS - Cheyenne Randall and Shea Homer scored to lead Glens Falls to a win over South Glens Falls

Homer and Sarah Frandsen each had an assist for Glens Falls (5-8 overall, 5-4 Foothills).

Haylee Mello made eight saves for the Indians.

Michaela Regner had 15 stops for South Glens Falls (7-5 overall, 6-4 Foothills).

Scotia-Glenville 4, Hudson Falls 1

SCOTIA - Taylor Santabarbara scored twice to lead Scotia-Glenville to a 4-1 win over Hudson Falls on Tuesday.

Alexis Marcucci and Amanda Kot also scored for the Lady Tartans, while Kot and Ashley O'Neil each had an assist.

Courtney Arlington scored for Hudson Falls.

Nicole Wojtowecz had 15 saves for Hudson Falls.

Non-league

Ichabod Crane 2, Gloversville 1

GLOVERSVILLE - Angelina Yearwood and Hannah Patzwahl scored to lead Ichabod Crane to a win over Gloversville on Saturday.

Alysha Chamberlain scored for Gloversville on an assist by Jade Persch.

Sierra Paes made four saves for Ichabod Crane, which outshot Gloversville 8-5.

Bailey Pieniazek made four saves for Gloversville.

Queensbury 3, Rutland 2

QUEENSBURY - Katie Zilka scored twice to lead Queensbury to a non-league win over Rutland (Vt.) on Tuesday.

Courtney Jenkins added a goal and an assist for the Spartans, while Anna Shultes, Courtney Jenkins and Mahrukh Naqvi each had an assist.

Catherine DePalma had a goal and an assist for Rutland (6-3-1 overall), while Natasha McPhee also scored. Jenna Kieth added an assist for the Red Raiders.

Christina Galatioto made nine saves for Queensbury (9-1 overall).
