GLOVERSVILLE- City police said a man was arrested Saturday morning for trespassing after he demanded to be let into the police station.

Brett W. Whipple, 45, of 137 Martha Kunkel Lane, Caroga Lake, was charged with a violation of trespassing when he walked to the police station intoxicated and demanded to be let in, police said.

Police said Whipple was a suspect in an earlier disorderly conduct complaint.

Whipple was told by officers several times to leave the premises on two different occasions but refused to do so, police said.

Whipple was arrested and taken into custody without incident. He was later released with an appearance ticket.
