SCHODACK - Kara Schwab scored the game's only goal to lead the Canajoharie girls soccer team to a non-league win over Albany in the opening round of the Maple Hill Tournament on Saturday.
Jenelle Dillenbeck assisted on the goal, which came in the 71st minute.
Lauren Balfe made two saves for the Cougars, who improved to 11-0 overall.
Emily Andrews made nine stops for Albany (7-4 overall).
Canajoharie will play in the second round of the tournament Monday at 1 p.m.
