DUDLEY, Mass. - Amsterdam graduate Anna Dyakiv, a junior on the Nichols College women's tennis team, picked up a pair of wins to help Nichols to a 6-3 win over Roger Williams College on Friday.
With one regular season match to go, Nichols (10-4 overall, 7-0 CCC) locked up the top seed in the upcoming Commonwealth Coast Conference championship tournament.
Dyakiv and Jillian McQuiggan (Weymouth, Mass.) won a No. 2 doubles by an 8-4 margin over the Roger Williams duo of Tracy Klein and Hillary Dutton. The win was Dyakiv's 40th career doubles victory. Dyakiv also posted a 6-2, 6-0 triumph over Roger Williams' Tracy Klein at No. 1 singles to earn her 20th career CCC regular-season victory without a defeat.
Nichols will host Eastern Nazarene today in the regular season finale.
