H.S. Volleyball Roundup: Johnstown volleyball sweeps Glens Falls

GLENS FALLS - Annie Stock registered 12 aces and seven digs to lead Johnstown to a 3-0 sweep of Glens Falls in a Foothills Council volleyball match Friday.

The Lady Bills won by scores of 25-15, 25-19 and 25-10.

Zara Hyde finished with five assists and four digs for Johnstown (9-2 overall, 8-2 Foothills), while Ieasha Lopez-Gonzalez posted three aces and three digs. Jerica Holland posted five aces and four digs for the Lady Bills and Hannah Breda added five kills.

Gloversville 3, South Glens Falls 1

SOUTH GLENS FALLS - Jenna Putnam had 15 assists, 10 kills and two blocks to lead Gloversville to a win over South Glens Falls

The Huskies won by scores of 26-24, 26-24, 22-25 and 25-18.

Katlyn Pierce finished with 10 kills, seven blocks and six digs for Gloversville (8-4 overall, 6-4 Foothills), while Christina Pavlovsky posted nine assists.

Megan McCall registered five kills and a block for the Huskies, Alex Bielli finished with four digs and three kills and Chelsey Biasini posted six kills and three digs. Ana Kroup added four kills for Gloversville.

Broadalbin-Perth 3, Hudson Falls 2

HUDSON FALLS - Chelsea LeBlanc had five kills, five digs, three aces and three blocks to lead Broadalbin-Perth to a win over Hudson Falls.

The Lady Patriots won by scores of 25-20, 19-25, 9-25, 26-24 and 25-17.

Allison Lysiak had six kills, five aces and two digs for B-P (7-4 overall, 6-4 Foothills), while Caitlin Rasefske posted 10 assists and four digs.

Regan Reed added five digs, four assists and three kills for the Lady Patriots.

WAC

Mayfield 3, Middleburgh 0

MAYFIELD - Nicole Little finished with 12 service points, six kills, four aces and one block to lead Mayfield to a sweep of Middleburgh.

The Lady Panthers won by scores of 25-11, 25-17 and 25-13.

Karissa Morey posted eight points, four aces, three assists and two kills for Mayfield (9-2 overall, 7-2 WAC), while Miranda Eagan registered eight assists, seven points, three aces and two kills. Heather Carman finished with three kills and two assists, while Kiera Davis, Kaylee Bumpus and Bailey Ward each had two kills.

Lena Pigott registered for kills for Middleburgh, while Carissa Miller posted four digs. Shyla Hinkley added three blocks and two kills for the Knights.

Saratoga Catholic 3, Duanesburg 1

DUANESBURG - Meghan Mensler finished with 13 digs and 12 service points to lead Saratoga Central Catholic to a win over Duanesburg.

The Lady Saints won by scores 25-15, 25-19, 27-29 and 25-16.

Erin Thornton posted 15 service points and 12 digs for Saratoga Catholic, while Liz Orsini finished with 12 points and six kills.

Breanna Annensen finished with 14 digs, eight points and four assists for Duanesburg, while Rebecca Gallup posted five kills and five blocks.

Big 10

Amsterdam 3, Albany 2

ALBANY - Bayley Archinal finished with 15 kills, four aces and two blocks to help Amsterdam outlast Albany in five games.

The Lady Rams won by scores of 10-25, 25-22, 25-16, 21-25 and 25-20.

Katie Ressel posted 10 assists and eight aces for Amsterdam (3-10 overall, 3-5 Big 10), while Jordyn Kelly added seven aces and two kills.

Mylah Chandler posted 12 kills for Albany, while Jesse LeFrancois registered 10 digs.
