TROY - Kevin Shannon ran for two touchdowns and caught a 67-yard touchdown pass to lead the Cougars to a 36-6 Class D South victory over Catholic Central on Friday.
Shannon also pulled in an interception, a fumble recovery and kicked an extra point to go with 115 yards rushing on 16 attempts.
Dillon Veeder also pulled in a touchdown pass from Jace Fox and for the second straight game, Seth Ferguson ran back a kick off for a touchdown.
Fox finished the game with 112 yards passing and two touchdowns in a 3-for-4 performance, while starting quarterback Nick Taylor was 3 for 9 for 17 yards.
The Cougars' defense recorded two sacks, two interceptions a blocked punt and a fumble recovery against the Crusaders.
The Cougars return home to play division-leading Cambridge next Friday at 7 p.m.
