Girls Soccer Roundup: South Glens Falls rolls past Gloversville

SOUTH GLENS FALLS Sam Blizzard scored four goals to power South Glens Falls to an 8-0 Foothills Council win over Gloversville on Monday

Sami Hubinsky and Lauren Vetter each had a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs, while Brennan Bruschini and Carly Weller also scored.

Paige Howk, Kayla Lingel and Lexi Potter each had an assist for South Glens Falls (9-1 overall, 7-1 Foothills).

Amy Jagareski made two saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Bulldogs.

Alexis Capasso made 16 stops for Gloversville (1-8 overall, 1-7 Foothills).

Scotia-Glenville 6, Johnstown 0

JOHNSTOWN Gracie Malley recorded two goals and two assists to lead Scotia-Glenville to a shutout win over Johnstown.

Sophie Constantino scored twice for the Lady Tartans, while Max Culhane had a goal and two assists. Maddy Carroll also scored for Scotia-Glenville (8-1 overall, 7-1 Foothills), while Grace Marola and Dom Puglisi each had an assist.

Carina Moran made two saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Lady Tartans.

Ellen Praught made 25 saves for Johnstown (2-7 overall, 2-6 Foothills).

Queensbury 7, Hudson Falls 0

HUDSON FALLS - Brittany LaPlant had five goals and an assist to lead Queensbury to a shutout win over Hudson Falls.

Cat Hand and Jill Davis also scored for the Spartans (6-2 Foothills), while Midge Loiselle had three assists. Claire Hubbs and Katie Shevlin each had an assist for Queensbury, which outshot Hudson Falls 27-6.

Sarah O'Brien made six saves to earn the shutout win in goal for the Spartans.

Nicole Sheloski made 14 stops for Hudson Falls (0-8 Foothills).


Schoharie 7, Northville 0

NORTHVILLE - Seana Cleveland and Kaitlyn Kendle each scored two goals to lead Schoharie to a shutout win over Northville.

Hannah Bowersox, Grace Caza and Monica Rivette each scored once for the Indians, who outshot the Falcons 18-5.

Lindsey Vanier made three saves to post the shutout win for Schoharie (6-4 WAC).

Joanna Schulte made seven saves for Northville (3-4-2 overall, 3-3-2 WAC).

Middleburgh 6, Mayfield 0

MIDDLEBURGH - Amanda Roney scored five of Middleburgh's six goals in a shutout win over Mayfield. Aleesha LeRuiz also scored for the Knights, while Kendra Wood had two assists.

Katie Green also had an assist for Middleburgh (8-3 overall, 7-2 WAC).

Megan Hagadorn made three saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Knights.

Jennifer Little made 27 saves for Mayfield (2-8 overall, 1-7 WAC).

Galway 3, Duanesburg 1

DUANESBURG - Abby Spagnola, Ashley Fredericks and Erica Chase scored to lead Galway to a win over Duanesburg.

Maddy Moore, Kelly Phillips and Chase each had an assist for Galway (8-2 overall, 7-1 WAC).

Lindsey Naughton and Rebekah Reichard combined to make 11 saves for the Golden Eagles.

Nicole Cassale made 27 saves for Duanesburg (1-8 WAC).

Mekeel Christian 3, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 3

BERNE - Macie Holmes, Nicole Pigliavento and Nicole Berritarie scored for Mekeel Christian Academy in a tie with Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Makayla McCormick scored all three goals for Berne-Knox-Westerlo (6-2-3 overall, 6-2-2 WAC).

Mekeel Christian is 5-3-2 overall and 3-3-2 in WAC play.

Colonial Council

Ichabod Crane 11, Fonda-Fultonville 2

FONDA - Mariela Jacome finished with three goals and two assists to lead Ichabod Crane to a win over Fonda-Fultonville.

Jessica Mink added three goals and an assist for the Riders, while Jackie LaBounty scored twice.

Mikela Freeman had a goal and an assist for Ichabod Crane (8-1 overall, 8-1 Colonial), while Sierra Fraioli and Reagan Sullivan also scored.

Kaci Aschenbrenner added three assists for Ichabod Crane, while Katie Grace made four saves for the Riders.

Emily Parslow scored both goals for Fonda-Fultonville (1-8 overall, 1-8 Colonial).

Guilyan O'Kosky made 11 saves for the Lady Braves.

Center State Conference

Little Falls 2, Dolgeville 0

DOLGEVILLE - Sarah Bruins scored both goals to lead Little Falls to a shutout win over Dolgeville.

Ashley Giaquinto made seven saves for Little Falls (5-4-1 overall, 3-2-1 CSC).

Kaylie Darling made nine saves for Dolgeville (3-6 overall, 1-4 CSC).
