With all the signs supporting state Sen. Hugh T. Farley's re-election springing up all over the Johnstown-Gloversville area, one must assume that Farley and the Republican-controlled Senate in New York state have found a way to eliminate the unfunded mandates that are bankrupting taxpayers who own property in this state.
To my knowledge, Farley and Assemblyman Marc Butler have done nothing. Earlier this year, when the Fulton County supervisors demanded those two show up at their next meeting to address the subject of unfunded mandates, did they show up?
To my knowledge, they did not.
