JOHNSTOWN - The H-F-M BOCES will bill its superintendent for personal use of a BOCES vehicle.
The Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery Board of Cooperative Educational Services this week approved an allocation for miles driven by Superintendent Patrick Michel.
The district collected data over the last 13 months to bill the superintendent for personal use of the vehicle he drives throughout the year.
Based on the data collected, over the last year, 13.43 percent was the average amount of personal use and will be the average percent used to calculate the monthly amount owed to BOCES.
The bill will vary based on how much the superintendent must drive. Officials estimated he will pay about $1,200 to $1,500 for the year.
"What this does is just simplify the record keeping," BOCES board President Robert Townsend said. "Most districts that provide vehicles use this percentage method."
