Girls Soccer Roundup: Canajoharie routs Duanesburg

CANAJOHARIE - Jenelle Dillenbeck had five goals and an assist to lead Canajoharie to an 8-2 win over Duanesburg in a Western Athletic Conference girls soccer game Friday.

Morgan Koelbl had a goal and two assists for the Lady Cougars, while Hannah Bowerman and Megan Balfe each scored once.

Ariannah Logan and Kayla Bowerman each had an assist for Canajoharie.

Andrea Barton and Megan Wilkes scored for the Eagles.

Lauren Balfe made three saves for Canajoharie (9-0 overall, 9-0 WAC).

Nicole Cassale made eight saves for Duanesburg (1-9 overall, 1-7 WAC).

St. Johnsville 2, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 1

BERNE - Meghan Clarke and Rylie Smith scored to lead St. Johnsville to a win over Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Skyler Viveros had an assist for the Lady Saints.

Delaney Martin scored the lone goal for Berne-Knox-Westerlo (6-2-1 overall, 6-2-1 Foothills).

Leann Knapp made 15 saves for St. Johnsville (4-4 overall, 4-4 WAC).

Schoharie 9, Sharon Springs 1

SHARON SPRINGS - Seana Cleveland scored four goals to power Schoharie to a win over Sharon Springs.

Angelina Dietz scored twice for the Lady Indians, while Lauren Archer, Grace Caza and Kaitlyn Kendle each scored once.

Morgan Daignault scored the lone goal for Sharon Springs (0-8 WAC).

Kassidee VanGasdeck and Lindsey Vanier combined to make 10 saves for Schoharie (5-4 WAC).

Rory Byrnes and Alexis VanArsdale combined to make 20 saves for the Lady Spartans.

Middleburgh 4, Fort Plain 0

MIDDLEBURGH - Amanda Roney had two goals and an assist to lead Middleburgh to a shutout win over Fort Plain.

Taylor Cater and Lynnea Miller each scored once for the Knights, while Molly Francis had two assists.

Megan Hagadorn had seven saves to post the shutout win in goal for Middleburgh (7-3 overall, 6-2 WAC).

Kaitlyn Trumbull made 26 saves for Fort Plain (2-8 overall, 2-6 WAC).

Non-league

Amsterdam 3, Northville 0

NORTHVILLE - Rebecca Natale scored twice to lead Amsterdam to a shutout win over Northville.

Bridget Fitz-James also scored for the Lady Rams.

Cassandra Robataille made nine saves to earn the shutout win in goal for Amsterdam (4-5-1 overall)

Joanna Schulte made seven saves for Northville (3-3-2 overall), which outshot Amsterdam 17-12.
