AHS girls tennis wins Big 10 title

SCHENECTADY - The Amsterdam girls tennis team clinched its 17th straight Big 10 title with a 9-0 sweep of Schenectady at Central Park on Wednesday.

The Lady Rams, who improved to 12-0 overall and 10-0 in Big 10 play, have won 170 straight Big 10 contests.

Amsterdam won all six singles matches and all three doubles contests on its way to the win.

Cristiana Johnson, Kristie Kaczmarek, Veronica Marsh, Brittany Durose, Ella Dybas and Audrey Flint all posted singles wins for the Lady Rams.

Johnson, Kaczmarek, Durose, Dybas and Flint all went unbeaten in Big 10 play this season.

In doubles competition, Caitlyn Gannon and Tessa Filiberto, Gabby Disalvi and Arizona Santiago, and Lucia Liverio and Latifa Woods won for Amsterdam.

All three doubles teams were perfect in league play this season.
