Mr. Craig J. Beebie, age 59, of Gloversville, died Saturday morning, September 22, 2012, at Nathan Littauer Hospital after he was suddenly stricken at home.
He was born April 9, 1953, in Gloversville, the son of the late Conroy and Marjorie Ganster Beebie. Craig was owner and operator of Beebie Printing and Art Agency for many years. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit and the Sacandaga Boat Club, where he served on the board of directors and as past commodore for a total of 11 years. He was a member of the Johnstown Moose since 1981, past president of the former Adirondack Printing Guild, and he was a former member of both the Concordia Club and Pine Tree Rifle Club.
Craig enjoyed boating, camping, snow skiing, water skiing, snowmobiling, cruises and trips to Vermont.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary McNamara Beebie, whom he married on September 24, 1977. They would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary today. Also surviving are two sons, Stephen T. Beebie (Ashlee Podolec) of Broadalbin and Shawn C. Beebie of Gloversville; a brother, Thomas Beebie (Michele) of Gloversville; a sister, Janice Wenskoski of Gloversville; three nephews, Christopher Wenskoski, Andrew Wenskoski and Daniel Beebie; and several cousins.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville, where a prayer service will be conducted at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit. Interment will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Gloversville Lions Club, P.O. Box 8, Gloversville, or to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
