GALWAY - Mayfield's Tom McClellen was the top overall finisher at the Western Athlic Conference cross-country meet run Thursday over the 2.8-mile the Bob's Trees course.
The Mayfield boys defeated Saratoga Catholic 21-38 but were edged by Canajoharie-Fort Plain 27-28.
On the girls side, Saratoga Catholic scored 15 points as Mayfield, Galway and Canajoharie-Fort Plain were all incomplete scores.
