Fish & Game Club host annual shoot

CAROGA LAKE - The Caroga Fish and Game Club hosts its annual fall black powder shoot and annual election of officers on Saturday and Sunday.

This year's shoot featured a new format, the 50-50 system, which allowed shooters to drop in or out at any time.

A total of 45 separate matches were held with Jim Grabski named the best shooter in the range events as well as the winner of the woods walk.

Fran Richards was second in the range events, Ed Fick was third and Jason Bush was fourth.

This year's officers are Steve Whitehouse (president), Jason Bush (vice president), Don Travis (recording secretary), Chester Burch (corresponding secretary) and Larry Lachmayer (treasurer).

The winners of the annual raffle were Bill Plisko (bolt-action rifle), Tresa Hickey (hunting blind) and Carl Pearson (hunting knife).
