Gloversville police pick up 33 people wanted on arrest warrants

GLOVERSVILLE - City police conducted a four-day warrant sweep this week, resulting in 33 arrests.

"We are normally picking people up on warrants all the time," Police Chief Donald VanDeusen said. "This was specifically designed so we could catch up on remaining warrants."

City Court Judge John Clo presided over all 33 arraignments, police said.

Police said several individuals paid fines owed to City Court once they learned police were looking for them.

The department will conduct similar sweeps in the future and continue to execute warrants daily, police said.

The following were arrested in this week's sweep. According to city police:

- Eric Sleezer, 32, of 77 Second Ave. was charged with criminal mischief.

- James Dingman, 34, of 85 North St. was charged with criminal contempt. Police said he failed to pay a $500 fine for a previous conviction. He was sent to the county jail.

- Matthew VanAllen, 30, of 16 Park St. was charged with criminal contempt because he failed to appear in court.

- Aliyah Allen, 18, of 22 Littauer Place was charged with harassment.

- John Brockhum, 52, of 1 Mill St., was charged on a parole violation. He was sent to county jail.

- John Morey, 24, of 132 West St., was charged with criminal contempt for failing to appear.

- Debra Fernandez, 40, of 45 E. Eighth Ave., was charged with criminal contempt because she failed to pay $50 fine.

- Christa Fernandez, 21, of 45 E. Eighth Ave., was charged with criminal contempt for failure to appear.

- James Eaton, 62, of 19 E. Eleventh Ave., was charged with criminal contempt for not paying a $100 fine.

- Michelle Bellamy, 33, of 10 E. 11th Ave., was charged with criminal contempt for failing to appear in court for traffic violations. She was sent to the county jail.

- Thomas Bauer, 52, of 7 Grandoe Lane, was charged with criminal contempt for violating conditional discharge in a DWAI case. He was sent to county jail.

- Joseph Vose, 30, of 27 Orchard St., was charged with third-degree assault and sent to the county jail.

- Kelly Aldi, 43, of 65 Park St., was charged with criminal contempt for failing to appear for traffic violations.

- Kevin Johnson, 50, of 14 Franklin St., was charged with criminal contempt because he failed to pay $450 for an resisting arrest conviction. He was sent to the county jail.

- Katerina Dwight, 32, of 127 N. Arlington Ave., was charged with criminal contempt for not paying $200 fine.

- Todd Sleezer, 30, of 65 Division St., was charged with criminal contempt for not completing community service. He was sent to the county jail.

- John Fresco, 23, of 61 W. Fulton St., was charged with criminal contempt for not paying $175 fine. He was sent to the county jail.

- Steven Davis, 19, of 65 Temple St., was charged with criminal contempt for not paying $220 fine and sent to the county jail.

- Lee Horning Jr., 25, of 103 A St., was charged with criminal contempt for not paying a $230 fine for traffic violations and was sent to the county jail.

- Danielle Fraumane, 34, of 23 Second Ave., was charged with criminal contempt for not paying $250 fine.

- Greg Christiano, 38, of 262 W. Fulton St., was charged with criminal contempt and arrested on two warrants for not paying an $850 fine in an assault case. He was sent to the county jail.

- Kelly Ketchum, 34, of 12 Grove St., was charged with criminal contempt for not paying a $310 fine and sent to the county jail.

- Philip Krikszens, 27, of 13 Steele Ave., was charged with harassment.

- Leroy Betor II, 41, of 63 W. Fulton St., was charged with third-degree assault and sent to the county jail.

- John Hoag, 35, of 112 Cherry St., was charged with criminal contempt because he violated an order of protection and was sent to the county jail.

- Randall Vose, 34, of 8 Curtis St., was charged with third-degree assault and sent to the county jail.

- Ezekiel West, 19, of 11 N. Water St., was charged with criminal mischief and sent to the county jail.

- Joseph Bunn, 40, of 10 Sixth Ave., was charged with second-degree harassment.

- Joseph Bunn Jr., 18, of 70 Third Ave., was charged with violation of probation and sent to the county jail.

- Anne Rodeo, 30, of 5 Montgomery St., was charged with criminal contempt for not paying traffic tickets. She was sent to the county jail.
