Boys Soccer Roundup: Johnstown blanks Glens Falls

JOHNSTOWN - Elijah Hill and Austin Vogel scored to lead Johnstown to a 2-0 win over Glens Falls in a Foothills Council boys soccer game Wednesday.

Joey Henderson had an assist for the Sir Bills (3-3 overall, 1-3 Foothills).

Andy Camarra made 10 saves to post the shutout win in goal for Johnstown.

Gabe Alagna made eight saves for Glens Falls (1-5 overall, 1-3 Foothills).

WAC

Fort Plain 4, Schoharie 2

SCHOHARIE - Will Logan scored twice to lead Fort Plain to a win over Schoharie.

Aiden VanLoan and Jacob Sardina also scored for the Hilltoppers (6-1-1 overall, 5-0-1 WAC), while Evan Grassel, Joe Ray and Sardina each had an assist.

Chris O'Neil and Tyler Arnold scored for Schoharie (4-3-1 overall, 3-2-1 WAC).

St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah 4, Duanesburg 0

ST. JOHNSVILLE - Brandon Campione scored twice to lead St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah to a shutout win over Duanesburg.

Kyle Smith and Johnny Vicciarelli each had a goal and an assist for St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah (6-2 overall, 4-2 WAC), while Nate Trumble also added an assist.

Rickey Jasewicz made 10 saves to earn the shutout win in goal for St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah.

Middleburgh 1, Canajoharie 0

CANAJOHARIE - Sean Green scored the game's only goal to lift Middleburgh to a win over Canajoharie.

Brody Smith assisted on the goal for Middleburgh (2-5 overall, 2-4 WAC).

Austin Smith made eight saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Knights.

Canajoharie slipped to 1-6 overall and 1-5 in WAC play.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo 1, Sharon Springs 0

SHARON SPRINGS - Nick Nagengast scored the game's only goal to lift Berne-Knox-Westerlo to a WAC win over Sharon Springs.

Tate Repscher assisted on the goal for BKW (4-2 WAC).

Trevor Haack made eight saves to earn the shutout win in goal for the Bulldogs.

Northern Soccer League

Crown Point 4, Wells 3 (OT)

WELLS - Mike Gould scored on an assist from Noah Macey in overtime to lift Crown Point to a win over Wells.

Noah Macey and Gabe Macey also scored for Crown Point, which got its other tally on an own goal by the Indians.

Gould also had an assist for Crown Point.

Matt Michienzi had two goals for Wells (2-2 overall, 2-2 NSL), while Kenny Chicoski had a goal and an assist. Dave Foster and Jake Early each had an assist for Wells.

Ben Brenan made 10 saves in goal for the Indians.
