AMSTERDAM - State police said troopers arrested a city man Saturday for receiving unemployment benefits he was not entitled to.
Ryan W. Quillinan, 34, of Amsterdam was charged at 12:37 p.m. Saturday by state police at Fonda with first-degree falsifying business records and third-degree grand larceny for allegedly stealing $5,125 in unemployment benefits.
Police said Quillinan was charged after troopers received an affidavit suggesting Quillinan received unemployment benefits he was not entitled to.
He was issued an appearance ticket for 9 a.m. Oct. 2.
