AMSTERDAM - A speaker will talk about apples at the Walter Elwood Nature Club's meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Horace J. Inman Senior Citizens Center, 53 Guy Park Ave.
Jim Hoffman of the Sand Flats Apple Orchard, on Martin Road in Fonda, will give a presentation on apples. He will talk about the different types of apples, demonstrate a simple way to peel apples and discuss the effects of weather on apples.
Attendees should use the rear entrance at the senior center. This will be a free event, and anyone interested can attend.
