GANSEVOORT - The North Eastern Athletic Conference announced Tuesday that SUNY Cobleskill sophomore Rebekah Johnson, an Amsterdam graduate, has been named the league's Female Cross Country Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending Sept. 17.

This marks the second consecutive week that Johnson has been honored by the NEAC with the Female Cross Country Student-Athlete-of-the-Week award.

Johnson continued her strong season for the Fighting Tigers by placing 10th overall in the field of 97 runners at the 2012 Airfield Invitational hosted by SUNY Oneonta at Fortin Park in Oneonta on Saturday by covering the 6,000-meter course in a time of 23:57 which is the fastest time ever recorded by a SUNY Cobleskill female runner in a 6,000-meter race.
