H.S. Golf Roundup: Patriots edge Queensbury

VAIL MILLS - Alex Bond carded a 35 to lead Broadalbin-Perth to a 158-159 win over Queensbury in a Foothills Council golf match at Holland Meadows Golf Course on Monday.

Cody Husek posted a 36 for the Patriots, while Brett Getman finished with a 43. Vinny Saj and Michael Schebel each registered rounds of 44 for B-P.

Colin Gaunt paced Queensbury with a 38, while Ben Hersey and Alex Kinney each finished with rounds of 40. Alex Hearley posted a 41 for the Spartans.

Johnstown 153, Hudson Falls 184

JOHNSTOWN - Josh Brown registered a 37 to lead Johnstown to a Foothills Council win over Hudson Falls at Fox Run Golf Club.

The Sir Bills' total of 153 eclipsed their previous season-best total by 11 strokes.

Jerry Groom finished with a 38 for the Sir Bills (6-4 Foothills), while Chris Geleta and Richie Lee each posted rounds of 39.

David Fish led Hudson Falls with a 40, while Brandon Boyer posted a 47. Chris Murray recorded a 48 for the Tigers, while Ayden Murphy added a 49.

Glens Falls 168, Gloversville 186

QUEENSBURY - Alex Gibson posted a 38 to lead Glens Falls to a Foothills Council win over Gloversville at Glens Falls Country Club.

Mike Bulmer and Sean Kuhn each finished with rounds of 43 for the Indians, while Eric Goldstein posted a 44.

Kevin Johnson led Gloversville with a 39, while Josh Fonda posted a 46. Kyle Fonda registered a 49 for the Huskies and James Snyder added a 50.

Northville-Mayfield 15, Canajoharie 0

NORTHVILLE - Gavon Winn posted a 40 to lead Northville-Mayfield to a Western Athletic Conference win over Canajoharie at Sacandaga Golf Club.

Arty Hoffman posted a 42 for Northville-Mayfield, while Jordan Fordyce added a 44. Winn, Hoffman and Fordyce all recorded sectional qualifying rounds.

Mario Quintano posted a 51 for Northville-Mayfield and Frank Coulter finished with a 46.

Schoharie 15, Fort Plain 0;

Middleburgh 15, Fort Plain 0

COBLESKILL - Taylor Lucas posted a 44 to lead Middleburgh to a Western Athletic Conference win over Fort Plain.

The Hilltoppers were also blanked by Schoharie, which was led by Evan Ottman's 45.

Rich McCauley posted a 47 for Middleburgh, while Jon Wrigley had a 52, Jacob Bircen had a 56, Asa Snyder carded a 59 and Aaron France added a 65.

Cole Chase posted a 50 for Schoharie, while Braden Guernsey posted a 52. Joe Polley and Tyler Schoeffler each posted rounds of 53 for the Indians, while Darryl Silverlieb added a 58.

David Wilday led Fort Plain with a 60, while Austin Cotton posted a 68. Simeon Sammons added a 77 for the Hilltoppers.

Fonda-Fultonville 170, Schalmont 177

FORT JOHNSON - Luke Calkins carded a 39 to lead Fonda-Fultonville to a win over Schalmont at Rolling Hills Country Club.

Alex Wallace and Tony Angioli each finished with rounds of 43 for the Braves, while Justin Galusha registered a 45. Jack Mulyca added a 46 for FFCS and David Anderson finished with a 67.

Dom Toma and Lucas Curtin led Schalmont with rounds of 43, while Jake Benaquisto posted a 44. Lou Mostroanni posted a 47 for the Sabres, Jimmy Hamilton registered a 48 and Chris Amorosi finished with a 52.

Big 10

Amsterdam 169, CBA 180

AMSTERDAM - James Phelps posted a 41 to lead Amsterdam to a win over Christian Brothers Academy at Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course.

Dan Hughes shot 42 for the Rams, while Mike Tambasco and Kevin Ottati each finished with a 43 .

Connor Adams led CBA with a 42, while Kyle Adams finished with a 45.

Frank Parisi posted a 46 for CBA and Jack O'Hara carded a 47.
