Girls Soccer Roundup: B-P routs Hudson Falls

HUDSON FALLS - Katie Herba had three goals and an assist to lead Broadalbin-Perth to a 6-0 shutout win over Hudson Falls in a Foothills Council girls soccer contest Monday.

Kylie Gifford, Natasha Murphy and Ashley Vosburgh also scored for the Lady Patriots, while Carly Washburn had two assists. Kathleen Rebis added an assist for B-P (4-1 overall, 3-1 Foothills), which outshot Hudson Falls 28-2.

Nicole Sheloski made 12 saves for Hudson Falls (0-4 Foothills).

Glens Falls 8, Gloversville 2

GLENS FALLS - Miranda Haraughty scored four goal to power Glens Falls to a Foothills Council win over Gloversville.

Megan Kanofsky and Olivia Curran each scored twice for the Indians (1-3 Foothills).

Chantal Thomas had a goal and an assist for Gloversville (0-5 overall, 0-4 Foothills), while Emily VanNostrand also scored. Emma Botch added an assist for the Lady Dragons, who were outshot 22-12.

Emily Washburn made 11 saves for Gloversville.

Scotia-Glenville 4, Queensbury 1

SCOTIA - Morgan Bailey, Sophie Constantino, Gracie Mailey and Max Culhane scored for Scotia-Glenville in a win over Queensbury.

Holly Sokol scored the lone goal for Queensbury (3-2 overall, 2-2 Foothills).

Sarah O'Brien made 12 saves for the Lady Spartans, while Carina Moran made four stops for the Lady Tartans (4-0 overall, 4-0 Foothills).

WAC

Canajoharie 4, Mayfield 1

CANAJOHARIE - Jenelle Dillenbeck scored twice to lead Canajoharie to a win.

Hannah Bowerman and Brianna Slater also scored for the Cougars with Slater getting credited with a tally after an own goal by Mayfield. Dainara Veeder and Ariannah Logan each had an assist for the Lady Cougars (5-0 overall, 5-0 WAC).

Anna Husain scored the lone goal for Mayfield on an assist from Hanna Cromie.

Lauren Balfe and Stormy Young combined to make one save to share the win in goal for Canajoharie.

Jennifer Little made 17 saves for the Lady Panthers (2-5 overall, 1-4 WAC).

Northville 2, Fort Plain 0

NORTHVILLE - Lyndsey Wadsworth had a goal and an assist to lead Northville to a shutout win over Fort Plain.

Meghan LaPort also scored for the Lady Falcons, while Kelly VanNostrand had an assist.

Joanna Schulte made 10 saves to post the shutout win in goal for Northville (3-1-1 overall, 3-1-1 WAC).

Kendra Trombley made 12 saves for Fort Plain (2-4 overall, 2-3 WAC), which dropped a 5-0 decision at Cherry Valley-Springfield on Saturday.

Galway 5, St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah 3

GALWAY - Erica Chase scored three goals to power Galway to a win over St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah.

Maddy Moore had a goal and an assist for Galway (5-0 overall, 4-0 WAC), while Lexy Hennessy also scored. Hayley Pawlowski, Shelby Suits and Abby Spagnola also scored for the Golden Eagles.

Rylie Smith had a goal and an assist for St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah (1-4 overall, 1-4 WAC), while Jessica Hagadorn and Gabrielle DiPiazza also scored.

Rebekah Reichard made 11 saves to earn the win in goal for Galway.

Leann Knapp made 25 saves for St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah.

Mekeel Christian 6, Sharon Springs 0

SHARON SPRINGS - Macie Holmes and Lindsey McCarty each had two goals and an assist to lead Mekeel Christian Academy to a shutout win over Sharon Springs.

Lizzy Bath and Lexie Holmes also scored for Mekeel Christian (1-3-1 overall, 1-3-1 WAC).

Alexis VanArsdale made 10 saves for Sharon Springs (0-6 overall, 0-5 WAC).

Middleburgh 4, Duanesburg 0

MIDDLEBURGH - Amanda Roney had two goals and an assist to lead Middleburgh to a shutout win over Duanesburg.

Taylor Cater and Kendra Wood each scored once for the Knights.

Megan Hagadorn made three saves to post the shutout win in goal for Middleburgh (3-1 WAC).

Nicole Cassale made eight saves for Duanesburg (1-4 WAC).

Center State Conference

Dolgeville 3, Frankfort-Schuyler 1

DOLGEVILLE - Ashley Mettler finished with two goals and an assist to lead Dolgeville to its first win of the season.

Ashley Young also scored for the Blue Devils (1-3 overall, 1-2 CSC), while Courtney Rachon added an assist.

Alexis Bianchi scored the lone goal for Frankfort-Schuyler (2-2 overall 1-2 CSC).

Kaylie Darling made six saves to post the win in goal for Dolgeville.
