JOHNSON, Vt. - The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team swept Lyndon State College and host Johnson State College by identical 3-0 scores Saturday. The non-conference victories improves Cobleskill's overall record to 4-3 overall while Lyndon State falls to 1-8 on the season while Johnson State drops to 0-8 on the campaign.
In the opener against Lyndon State, the Fighting Tigers cruised to the 3-0 win by scores of 25-17, 25-14 and 25-19. Junior outside hitter Amber Baker, a Johnstown graduate, had five kills, three assists, five digs and an ace.
In the second match against Johnson State, Cobleskill won 3-0 by scores of 25-13, 25-7 and 25-11.
Baker had seven aces, three kills and two digs in the win.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action Wednesday when they host Castleton State College in non-league action at the Iorio Gymnasium with first serve scheduled for 6 p.m.
