Girls Soccer Roundup: Amsterdam edges Gloversville, 4-3

AMSTERDAM - Monica Rouse scored twice to lead Amsterdam to a 4-3 win over Gloversville in a non-league girls soccer game Saturday at Lynch Literacy Academy.

Michaela Kilgallen and Diana Constantine also scored for the Lady Rams, who improved to 1-4 overall.

Chanel Thomas scored twice to lead Gloversville (0-4 overall), while Natasha Simon also scored.

Dayna Peck added an assist for the Lady Dragons, who were outshot 14-8.

Emily Washburn finished with 10 saves for Gloversville, while Cassandra Robataille had five stops for Amsterdam.

Mayfield 2, Duanesburg 1

SCHOHARIE - Julie Hampton scored twice to lead Mayfield to a win over Duanesburg in the consolation game of the Kyle Sharpe Tournament at Schoharie.

Anna Husain and Kelsey Burton each had an assist for the Lady Panthers (2-4 overall).

Maeve McKeeby scored the lone goal for Duanesburg (1-5 overall).

Jennifer Little had 10 saves for Mayfield.

Amanda Goodwin and Nicole Cassale combined to make 13 saves for the Eagles.
