Boys Soccer Roundup: Patriots roll past Glens Falls

QUEENSBURY - Tucker Wilcox had a hat trick to lead Broadalbin-Perth to a 7-1 win over Glens Falls in a Foothills Council boys soccer game at Morse Athletic Complex on Friday.

Conner Phillips scored twice for the Patriots, while Logan Ackley and Joe Zarecki also scored. The goals were the first varsity tallies for Phillips, Ackley and Zarecki.

A.J. Klemczak had three assists for Broadalbin-Perth (5-0-1 overall, 3-0-1 Foothills) while Mark Sylvia, Ben Bellandi and Wilcox each had one assist.

Sean Hooker scored the lone goal for Glens Falls (1-5 overall, 1-3 Foothills).

Devin Page and Pat Brown combined to make two saves to share the win in goal for B-P, which extended its unbeaten streak to 28 games.

Gabe Alagna made four stops for the Indians.

Queensbury 1, Johnstown 0

QUEENSBURY - Jimmy Doty scored the game's lone goal with 15:58 left in the first half to lift Queensbury to a Foothills Council win over Johnstown.

The Spartans outshot the Sir Bills by a 15-2 margin and finished with a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.

Pat O'Mara made two saves to post the shutout win in goal for Queensbury (2-4 overall, 2-2 Foothills). Andy Camarra made eight saves for Johnstown (2-3 overall, 0-3 Foothills).

Scotia-Glenville 2, South Glens Falls 0

SOUTH GLENS FALLS - Connor Flaherty and Owen Fingar scored second-half goals to lead Scotia-Glenville to a Foothills Council win over South Glens Falls.

Adam Ashcroft made five saves to post the shutout win in goal for Scotia-Glenville (6-0 overall, 4-0 Foothills).

South Glens Falls slipped to 4-1-1 overall and 2-1-1 in Foothills play.


Northville 2, Duanesburg 0

NORTHVILLE - Tyler Henderson and Brad VanNostrand scored to lead Northville to a Western Athletic Conference win over Duanesburg.

Henderson scored on a Jimmy Grega assist in the first half, while VanNostrand scored on an assist by David Onzo in the second half.

Northville (1-2 overall, 1-2 WAC) outshot Duanesburg by a 30-2 margin.

Tim Monette made two saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Falcons, who finished with an 8-1 edge in corner kicks.

Zach Wissenback made seven saves for Duanesburg (1-3-1 WAC).

Berne-Knox-Westerlo 3, Mayfield 2

BERNE - Macklin Norray scored twice to lead Berne-Knox-Westerlo to a WAC win over Mayfield.

Tate Repscher also scored for the Bulldogs (4-2 overall, 3-2 WAC), while Sam Abbott added an assist.

Jordan Ryder and Matt Chase scored for Mayfield (0-3 overall, 0-3 WAC), while Dylan Toscano and Josh Ivancic each had an assist.

Trevor Haack made six saves for BKW, who were outshot 8-6.

Lucas VanNostrand made three stops for the Panthers, who finished with a 9-2 edge in corner kicks.

Galway 2, Schoharie 1

GALWAY - Austin Scheeren and Josh Bailey scored to lead Galway to a WAC win over Schoharie.

Bailey and Kyle Moffat each had an assist for the Golden Eagles (3-0 overall, 3-0 WAC).

Richie Martino scored the lone goal for Schoharie (4-1-1 overall, 3-1-1 WAC).

Mekeel Christian 5, Middleburgh 2

MIDDLEBURGH - Tai Aderounmu scored three goals to lead Mekeel Christian to a WAC win over Middleburgh.

T.K. Majekodunmi had two goals for the Lions (3-0 overall, 3-0 WAC), while Kenny Aderounmu had three assists.

Ryan Putman and Austin Roney scored for Middleburgh (1-4 overall, 1-4 WAC).

Big 10

CBA 1, Amsterdam 0

COLONIE - Brandon Bolger scored in the first overtime to lift Christian Brothers Academy to a win over Amsterdam.

CBA improved to 4-1-1 overall and 2-0-1 in Big 10 play with the win.

Amsterdam slipped to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in Big 10 play.


Stillwater 1, Canajoharie 0

STILLWATER - Ian Cepiel scored the game's only goal to lead Stillwater to a non-league win over Canajoharie.

The Warriors improved to 3-1 overall with the win, while the Cougars slipped to 1-4 overall with the loss.
