Carol J. Moore, age 72, of Gloversville, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on February 14, 1940, in Dolgeville, a daughter of the late Morris McGowan and Reva Avery McGowan, age 93, who survives.
Mrs. Moore worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant with the Fulton County Infirmary and most recently with Nathan Littauer Hospital.
Carol is survived by her husband, James E. Moore, whom she married on September 6, 1958; two sons, Brian (Lynette) Moore Sr. of Gloversville and James (Monica) Moore Sr. of Johnstown; two daughters, Brenda (Randy Sr.) Green of Amsterdam and Mary (Mark Sr.) Dolly of Fort Plain; mother, Reva McGowan; one sister, Lorraine Thomas of Fort Plain; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by one sister, Lois Perna.
Funeral Services will be conducted at noon on Saturday, September 15, at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown. Friends and family may call on Saturday prior to the service from 10 a.m to noon at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Chuctanunda Cemetery, town of Florida.
