FONDA-Trial dates have been scheduled for an Amsterdam man who was indicted on two charges of first-degree murder Friday.
Ivan Ramos, 30, who is indicted on charges connected to the March 2 murder of Cheryl Goss and William McDermott, will stand trial on a tentative date of Jan. 22, 2013, according to Montgomery County District Attorney James "Jed" Conboy.
According to Conboy, Ramos' attorney, Mark Juda, must have a defense motion prepared by Oct. 26.
Once submitted, Conboy has until Nov. 9 to respond.
A pre-trial conference is scheduled for Jan. 1, 2013.
Ramos is accused of stabbing Goss and McDermott to death in a Locust Avenue Apartment in the city of Amsterdam.
Police responded, finding signs of a struggle and undisclosed forensic evidence.
Ramos was previously arraigned for several violent crimes, including two robberies and the theft of a $1,000 piece of construction equipment, which he is currently being held on.
