GLOVERSVILLE - The city Police Department said a teenager knew a young child was injured but made no attempt to seek medical attention.
Edward A. Rowback III, 19, of 8 William St., was charged Wednesday with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, after an investigation.
Police said the investigation began Feb. 3 after reports of a sexual assault of a juvenile male younger than 2. Police said during the investigation it was learned the child sustained injuries related to the assault while under the care and supervision of Rowback.

The investigation showed Rowback knew of the child's injury and made no attempt to seek medical attention, police said. After details were revealed about the investigation, City Court Judge John Clo issued an arrest warrant for Rowback, police said.
Rowback was arraigned in City Court and later released.
