Glebe Street PTA plans golf event

JOHNSTOWN - The fifth annual Glebe Street Elementary School Golf Tournament will take place Saturday at 9 a.m. at Fox Run Golf Club.

Stearn's Investment Services will be this year's executive sponsor. NBT, Benjamin Moore, National Grid and Beech Nut will be corporate sponsors. All proceeds will benefit the Glebe Street Elementary School PTA.

The tournament will be an 18-hole four-person scramble.

A new 2012 Toyota Corolla will be awarded to the first player to get a hole-in-one on the second hole, courtesy of Steet Toyota of Johnstown.

The Glebe Street PTA Annual Golf Tournament is our largest fundraiser throughout the year and replaces the need to sell candy and home goods door-to-door.

This event puts the fun back into fundraiser and puts the funds into programs where Glebe Street children can use it.
