FONDA - Two Amsterdam residents were indicted in Montgomery County Court last week in unrelated cases. According to the District Attorney's office, both cases involved people violating orders of protection placed against them.
Tony M. Freeman, 41, of Amsterdam, was indicted Sept. 4 on charges of first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree harassment and resisting arrest in connection with an incident May 24 in the city of Amsterdam. He is set to be arraigned today.
Gabriel Arroyo, 28, of Amsterdam, was indicted Sept. 5 and arraigned Friday on charges of first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree harassment, third-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest in connection with incidents that occurred June 13 and 14.
