VOORHEESVILLE - The Fonda-Fultonville boys and girls cross country teams opened the Colonial Council dual-meet season with convincing wins over Voorheesville.
In the 3.1-mile boys race, the Braves cruised to a 17-46 win.
Fonda-Fultonville claimed seven of the top eight spots, led by Matt Hoffman who won with a time of 16:49.
Tyler Angioli (17:47) was second for FFCS, while Jimmy Westman (18:00) was third.
Joe Becker led Voorheesville, placing fourth with a time of 18:20.
Omijah Piening (19:14) was fifth for the Braves, Cameron Gilligan (19:23) was sixth, Dalton Hunter (19:44) was seventh and Dylan DeSorbo (19:51) was eighth. Other finishers for FFCS included Damian Freeman (12th, 21:10), Cole Wozniak (15th, 23:14) and Danny Westman (16th, 24:31).
In the 3.1-mile girls race, the Lady Braves prevailed, 19-36.
Jamie Kasza won the race for FFCS, finishing with a time of 20:00.
Kimberly Geniti (21:54) was second for the Lady Braves, while Samantha Phelps (22:32) was third.
Carla Planz led Voorheesville, placing fourth with a time of 23:12.
Carly Littlejohn (24:01) was sixth for FFCS, while Katie Wisniewski (24:16) was seventh.
