Experience on Clo’s side

September 11, 2012
The Leader Herald

On behalf of the voters in Gloversville, l'd like to thank all three candidates for giving us a choice for City Court judge. All three candidates possess a lot of the same qualities. All three are dedicated to their families, friends and this community. We are fortunate to have each of them in our city.

I am supporting Judge John Clo for several reasons. A longtime friend, John is a hard working and knowledgeable individual. Before being appointed city judge, John was my personal and business attorney. I could always turn to him for sound and reasonable advice. A judge at any level needs to be fair, firm, consistent and compassionate. Judge Clo's 20 years of trial experience with 16 years as an assistant district attorney and six years as our city attorney, have prepared him to be all of the above.

One of the biggest concerns in our community is the growing blight problem. As a member of the original blight committee, appointed by then Mayor Frank LaPorta, we worked on changing and strengthening our blight laws. Judge Clo has and will continue to use his position to help return this city to respectability.

The position of City Court judge is a very important position. I would ask all voters to take the time to vote Thursday and please support Judge John Clo. Experience does count. Experience will make a difference.
