On Thursday, there will be a primary for the position of Gloversville City Court judge. This position is quite possibly the most significant elected post in our city. The term is for 10 years and has a profound impact upon far more people, litigants or defendants than just simply the folks who appear before the court. In every court I know of, "the court" is the judge behind the bench. All in the community rely on the judicial dedication, experience and professional commitment of the judge who administers the function of the court. As I've said, the court is the judge, and all in the community are impacted by this simple fact.
We are truly blessed in this election to have three excellent candidates. However, this does make our decision more difficult. Dedication, experience and commitment all will have an impact on our community.
John Clo is my personal choice for Gloversville City Court judge. John is the current City Court judge and he will need no on-the-job training. Born and raised in Gloversville, John is the proud son of Norman and Doris Clo. Again, dedication, experience and commitment are all things he learned growing up in Gloversville. Ten years is a long time, but we are blessed with excellent choices and the right to make that choice.
Never ever give up your right to make a choice. Never ever give up your right to make honest, informed decisions about essentials that impact our community. Make your own choice, but I still urge you to vote for John Clo on Thursday and after.
We all have the right to be judged by our peers, and John Clo is our peer.
