Girls Soccer Roundup: Scotia-Glenville hands B-P first loss

SCOTIA - Sophie Constantino scored twice to lead Scotia-Glenville to a 5-0 shutout win over Broadalbin-Perth in a Foothills Council girls soccer game Monday.

Morgan Bailey and Max Culhane each had a goal and an assist for the Lady Tartans (2-0 overall, 2-0 Foothills), while Rachael Cox also scored.

Megan McGillycuddy added an assist for Scotia-Glenville.

Corina Moran made three saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Lady Tartans.

Rachel Orapello stopped 13 shots for Broadalbin-Perth (2-1 overall, 1-1 Foothills).

South Glens Falls 10, Hudson Falls 0

HUDSON FALLS - Sammy Blizzard scored four goals and posted an assist as South Glens Falls rolled past Hudson Falls.

The goals pushed Blizzard to 15 on the season and 110 for her career.

Shannon Curley and Lexi Potter each scored twice for South Glens Falls (4-0 overall, 2-0 Foothills), while Kasey O'Brien and Lauren Vetter also scored.

Amy Jagareski made just two saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Bulldogs.

Nicole Sheloski made 13 saves for Hudson Falls (0-2 Foothills).

WAC

Canajoharie 9, Sharon Springs 0

SHARON SPRINGS - Brianna Slater scored twice to lead Canajoharie to a shutout win over Sharon Springs in a WAC Central Division contest.

Jenelle Dillenbeck had a goal and two assists for the Lady Cougars, while Hannah Bowerman, Kayla Bowerman, Melissa Bowley, Morgan Koelbl, Ariannah Logan and Jordyn Logan also scored.

Morgan Gray, Gabbie Kiefl and Kara Schwab all had an assist for Canajoharie (3-0 overall, 3-0 WAC).

Lauren Balfe made eight saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Lady Cougars.

Rory Byrnes and Alexis VanArsdale combined to make 26 stops for Sharon Springs (0-4 overall, 0-3 WAC).

Fort Plain 4, St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah 3

FORT PLAIN - Allehah VanLoan had two goals and an assist to lead Fort Plain to a Western Athletic Conference Central Division contest.

Haley Kilmartin added a goal and two assists for Fort Plain (2-1 overall, 2-1 WAC), while Makaila Belden finished with a goal and an assist.

Skyler Viveros had two goals for St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah (1-2 overall, 1-2 WAC).

Jessica Hagadorn had two assists for St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah, while Rylie Smith had a goal and an assist.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo 5, Middleburgh 4

BERNE - Makayla McCormick scored in the first overtime to lift Berne-Knox-Westerlo to a WAC South Division win over Middleburgh.

Delaney Martin scored three goals for the Bulldogs (3-0 overall, 3-0 WAC), while Faith Gaddis also scored.

Amanda Roney scored three goals for Middleburgh (1-2 overall, 0-1 WAC), while Kendra Wood also scored.

Elizabeth Harvey made 17 saves for BKW, while Megan Hagadorn made 12 saves for Middleburgh.

Schoharie 3, Duanesburg 1

DUANESBURG - Seana Cleveland scored two goals to lead Schoharie to a WAC South win over Duanesburg.

Lauren Archer also scored for the Indians (2-1 overall, 1-1 WAC).

Maeve McKeeby scored the lone goal for Duanesburg.

Lindsey Vanier made eight saves for Schoharie, while Nicole Cassale made 14 stops for Duanesburg.
