MAYFIELD - The Mayfield Central School District had to cancel classes today because of a water pressure problem.
The village also has issued an advisory for residents to boil all water due to low water pressure in the village. Village officials also are asking residents to restrict the amount of water they use.
The problem first occurred on Sunday afternoon and village employees have been working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, according to information from the village. The cause of the water problem is still unknown.
Village officials said if they can get the water pressure up to state guidelines, the boil-water advisory and school closing will be lifted.
