SCHOHARIE - Tristan Engle scored twice to lead St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah to a 3-0 win over Duanesburg in the opening round of the Schoharie Tournament on Saturday.
Kyle Smith also scored for St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah (3-0 overall), while Brandon Campion and Dylan Klock each had an assist.
Rickey Jasewicz had nine saves for St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah, which will face host Schoharie in the title game next Saturday.
Foothills Council
South Glens Falls 2, Johnstown 1
JOHNSTOWN - Cody Kostrzebski scored in the second overtime to lift South Glens Falls to a win over Johnstown on Friday.
Collin Lenon assisted on the game-winning goal for the Bulldogs (3-0-1 overall, 1-0-1 Foothills), while Blake Smith scored in regulation.
Brandon Spaid scored the lone goal for Johnstown (2-1 overall, 0-1 Foothills).
Andy Camarra made 11 saves for the Sir Bills, who were outshot by a 12-1 margin.
Mayfield Tournament
MAYFIELD - The opening round of the Mayfield Tournament was postponed by Saturday's inclement weather.
It will now take place next Saturday.
Host Mayfield will face Waterford-Halfmoon at 7 p.m., while Catholic Central will face Middleburgh at 5 p.m.
The championship and consolation games will take place Oct. 13 at 5 and 7 p.m.
