Senior group plans sundae social

GLEN - Martha Hensel opened the meeting of the Glen-Mohawk Seniors with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance followed by singing, "America," accompanied by Barb Furman. D. Dorine Dimond took roll call with 40 members present. The guests were Marie Jensen, Hallie Guzdan, Troy Hayes and Nick Casey.

Barb Furman gave the secretary's report, which was accepted as read.

Dimond gave the treasurer's report.

Pat Putman sent get-well cards and noted others that she will be sending cards to.

Lucille Douglas sent a thank-you card to Washburn's Dairy for the ice cream that was provided for last week's social.

Connie Hoyer announced that signups for the sundae social will begin next week. Lu Wilmot said there will be free pizza for those not going on the trip later this month. Elaine Stevens and Margaret Post are in charge. Next week the signups will begin for The Beeches trip Nov. 13.

Joe Mancini and Wilmot won the 50-25-25 raffle. Betty Anderson told a joke.

Bingo followed with Peg LaBarge calling and Lois Collins assisting.
