Cora Louise (Twining) Albus, 77, years old, Hudson Falls, N.Y., went to be with her Heavenly Father on September 7, at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home.
She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Celia Twining; her husband, Elwyn; and her brothers Harry Jr., Lorin Emerson, and Meredith.
She is survived by: her sisters, Bertha and Mary Lou; her brothers, Lathan Elwood, Roger and Paul; her children, John (Donis), Joan (James) and Joy; nine grandchildren, Jordan (Angie), Jared and Sierra Albus; Jocelyn (Jon) Blanchard, Joshua, Jacob and Julia Swanson; and Jeremiah and Sara Leiden; and two great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Jayna Blanchard.
She was a longtime resident of Northville, N.Y. She and her husband loved spending winters at the Brooksville (Fla.) Wesleyan Retirement Village. She attended United Wesleyan College.
Cora was known for her love for others and her love for preparing food for others. Cora enjoyed gospel music, playing board games and Chinese food. She was devoted to her family and spent many years as caretaker for her husband.
The family would like to thank Interim Healthcare for giving Cora years of dedicated and loving assistance, and Fort Hudson Health Services for compassionate care for Cora and the family in recent months. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church for many years.
She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Viewing hours will be held at the Turning Point Wesleyan Church, 1063 State Route 4, Fort Edward, NY from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9, with a Celebration of her life to follow at 3 p.m.
Her committal service will be held at the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Northville, NY on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m. Arrangements are by the Northville Funeral Home. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.northvillefuneralservice.com.
